Extended Service Contracts
for
New Manufactured Homes

The typical manufacturer's warranty on a new manufactured home is one year from the date of purchase. An extended service plan will eliminate worries about big repair bills for up to an additional four years beyond the manufacturer's one-year warranty. There is a difference between a warranty and an extended service plan.

A Warranty is a product guarantee given by a manufacturer or dealer that provides for the repair or replacement of the product if it breaks or fails to perform its intended function.

A Service Contract or Service Agreement is a legal contract between two parties that provides for the repair or replacement of specific products or items that break or fail to perform their intended function. An insurance company frequently backs a service contract, which is an important safety factor for contract holders.

We offer the Interstate StarHousing program which is insured by National Service Contract Insurance Company and is rated A- Excellent by A.M. Best Company. Fire & Casualty Insurance Company of Connecticut, a subsidiary of Royal & Sun Alliance USA with a Best's rating of A Excellent, reinsures it.

Interstate National Dealer Services is the full service administrator of the contract and is in its 20th year and ranks among the oldest and most experienced administrators in the nation. Interstate is the only service contract administrator to make the Forbes Magazine list of 200 Best Companies for three consecutive years. Interstate is a publicly traded company (NASDAQ-ISTN).

In certain situations, the InterstateStar Service Contract may not be available and we may have an alternative through another company.

Normally a Service Contract must be purchased while the manufacturer's warranty is still in effect. This is usually within one year of your purchase of your new mobile home. This program is not available for pre-owned homes. For information regarding pre-owned homes, click here.
